Speaking With Purpose

And they explored the town…

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo.  Today was long and so if this blog does not completely make sense I am very sorry.  I had quite a few readers today.  I talked with Feri, Woo-Jeong, Jasmin, and Renate.  I have heard multiple times that everyone is sad that we are leaving.  And honestly, we are very sad about leaving as well.  For the rest of our time here we are trying to soak everything up about Germany!   Feri and I talked about the parable of the prodigal son.  We talked about forgiveness and the different parts of the story that could be related to his life.  This week both Woo-Jeong and Jasmin started reading James out of the NIV Bible.  Their English level is very high and they are so smart and quick to learn that the challenge in the Bible is really exciting for them.  Renate and I talked about her everyday life and it has been such a good time talking with her.  We spoke about Jesus staying behind at the Temple after the Passover Feast to stay at “his Father’s house” in Luke 2.  She had an interesting take on it as a parent of 2 boys.  After that we went with Feri to meet his 13-year-old daughter, Leah.  They showed us around a historical part of the town and the pedestrian walk.  They are both very nice and love to speak English.  We came home and bought the Bratcher’s pizza for dinner tonight from their favorite restaurant, 1001 Friends.  It was a nice time eating with them and showing them our appreciation for letting us invade their living room and for feeding us many mornings before going to the English classes.  We really do enjoy their family and cannot express our gratitude for letting us stay here to give us the opportunity to come speak with people about Jesus!
