Hannover anyone?
Today was a day off for these three hard working ladies. We decided to hop on the train and head to Hannover (after sleeping in of course ;) where we met Julia, a friend of Alicia. She took us shopping and gave us as much of a tour as she could as the weather was dreary and rainy. We ventured to the RasHaus (courthouse) where we saw HUGE models of the city in the 1600s, 1939 (Pre WWII), 1945 (after WWII) and current times. It was fascinating to see the differences in the time periods! We also enjoyed the beautiful architecture of the building as it is…OLD! :) We had a great time exploring the different shops of Hannover, such as the equivalent of the Dollar Store in the US and a few clothing shops. Seeing street musicians and window shopping gave us a general feel for Hannover. It was nice to walk around and enjoy a bigger city in Germany and, overall, a nice day!
